This dwarf onion ~ oreophilum means "mountain-loving" ~ has large, rose-pink florets with a darker line down the midrib. The straight-stemmed version charms all who see it. It is beautiful both in the rock garden and as a dinner-party centrepiece. Height about 15 cm (6"). Flowering time: May untill June
Planting time: From half September until December, as long as there is no frost in the ground.
Plant the bulbs approximately 10 cm deep whith a distance of 5-10 cm. Plant the bubls on a sunny spot. These Alliums will run wild and can stay in a rock garden and borders. This Allium is a good cut flower and will smell lightly
